Philippians 4:6-7 Careful about peace

After some verses having apparent double-meaning, Paul continues in Philippians 4:6-7 about being careful of peace, etc.

The Greek for "careful" is used by Jesus as the "cares and concerns" of the world and can be related to the idea of "thorns". The "thorn of crowns" is a way that Jesus can take the "cares of this world" onto himself.

The Greek for "thanksgiving" is that of "thank you" which, in Greek, means "good favor" and comes, through Latin, as the Eucharist.

The Greek for "requests" is that of "reasons" or "causes". The ancient Greek word "αἰτία" ≈ "cause, reason".

Aristotle often used this word as "explanation". Each "cause" is a "why" question. Aristotle detailed four "causes" and used a "table" as an example.

One should be "peaceful" but not "make peace" or "force peace". The Greek for "passeth" was used in chapters 2 and 3.

The Greek for "mind" is not the same as the word Paul uses for being of the "same mind".

Paul uses the Greek word for "surpassing" as, literally, "having over" or "holding over", three times in Philippians. The KJV (King James Version) uses "better", "excellency" and "passeth" for translating this word. A similar word, as a play on words, is that of being "superior".

The Greek for "keep" is that of "care for" in a tender sense.

Paraphrase: The peace of God is to be held over all understanding, and shall care for your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
